An all natural soap perfect for oily and acne prone skin. Tea tree oil is know for its antiseptic and antimicrobial qualities, French green clay absorbs unwanted oils and the activated charcoal is a great detoxifier. Tea tree essential oil has a wonderful distinctive smell which blends perfectly with lavender.
I first saw Kittelsens image of the nøkken years ago in a book belonging to my mother-in-law in her cabin in Norway. Until then I thought trolls were the cute plastic doll things with pink hair. I started to understand that the folklore surrounding these elusive creatures was much more sinister.
Theodor Kittlesen's Nokken, 1904
This was one of the first soaps I ever made for my husband about 12 years ago. Once he saw the benefits of my natural soap he requested one with tea tree oil and has referred to it as 'his' soap ever since. The design is all nøkken though. Beware those weedy tendrils lurking on the surface if the water, just waiting to pull you under....
Olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, french green clay, activated charcoal, essential oils of tea tree, lavender, star anise, peppermint. Aprox 110g
To get the most out of your handmade soap:
Allow the soap to dry fully by using a soap dish that drains water away and allows air to circulate. If you aren't using the soap straight away store in a dry and well ventilated place.
